Making Mud Pies

As a conclusion to our Earth Science unit we made mud pies!  I must say that it was fun for the students to make and eat.  Eating a worm was the best part for some students. 
(I will appolgize now for the sideways pictures.  I thought I had them turned before importing them to this blog.  SORRY!)

Math Centers

This week we spent time learning to estimate and measure height.  Students estimated first on our big chart.

Working together in small groups students went to work.  After measuring each other the results were written on the chart.  This activity was followed up the next day estimating and measuring classroom objects. 

We also spent time introducing subtraction this week and working in math centers.

In the above pictures students were studying force and motion in science.  As you can tell it was a fun activity.

Our class worked with the other kindergarten classes  to create a map of our campus.  This was one of our early social studies projects.
